All About Job Boards
A job in a website that provides job search and the scope of large scale general sites for specialized job boards for job categories such as engineering, legal, insurance, social work, teaching and categories across sectors such as green jobs, work ethics and seasonal employment. Typically, users can place their resumes and submit to potential employers, while employers can post job listings and search for potential employees.
The job search engine term can refer to a job with an interface style search engine or a web site that actually searches and indexes other websites.
Some websites are simply search engines list the results of several independent boards. This is an example of both meta-search (these are the other search engines that search engines search) and vertical search (as searches are limited to a specific topic – job).
Venture capital, mergers and acquisitions have been active in industry board for more than a decade. In 2008, several private equity firms started the process of assembling the large job board network, whereas other companies tried to expand through acquisition.
