I Love the Kids but Not Gaining the Weight
I have had three kids and I love them dearly. Unfortunately, with each of the three kids my body and my appetite went into overdrive and I gained anywhere from 50 to 60 pounds. I had to buy some supersize maternity dresses just to feel comfortable! You would have thought that my doctor would have been very upset with the weight gain, but, after each of the three kids I lost all of the weight that I gained. I laugh when I tell the story because when I weighed in to have my oldest, she was my largest child at 8 pounds 2 ounces, and I weighed 211 pounds. When I weighed in to have my middle child, she was my smallest child at 6 pounds 6 ounces, and I weighed 209 pounds. When I weighed in to have my son, he was my mid weight child at 7 pounds 2 ounces, and I weighed 210 pounds. I tell people that the size of my children was what made the difference between the 209 and 211 pounds for each of the three kids. Actually, I tell the story so women don’t worry too much about how much weight they gain when they are pregnant. After they have the babies, they can just work on losing the weight.
